Found this amazing "Hambagu" (Japanese-style hamburger steak) at a local restaurant in Matsumoto, Nagano.
Unlike a typical burger, this is served as a "Teishoku" (set meal) on a sizzling iron plate with a rich demi-glace mushroom sauce. The combination of the juicy meat, the hot sauce, and a bowl of fresh Japanese rice is pure comfort food. The set also came with miso soup, salad, and a side of bean sprouts.
Matsumoto is a beautiful city, and this meal was definitely a highlight of my trip!
