I was inspired to develop this cake recipe concept based on my love for Honey Bun cake – a classic southern dessert that features a vanilla cake adorned with cinnamon brown sugar swirls – and a desire to make it even better by using browned butter in the cake batter and covering it in a sticky toffee glaze instead of the standard white icing.
