creamy vegan Egyptian red lentil soup. it's super easy to make with ingredients you might already have on hand, very cheap, nutritious, and most importantly DELICIOUS. this the recipe I grew up with https://amwhatieat.com/egyptian-red-lentil-soup-shorbat-ads/

Looks good! Thanks!
Struggle meal?
I have a very similar recipe that I think of as “Turkish” red lentil soup. 😄
But I swap the carrot out for a potato to give the soup a slightly thicker texture.
Hate the term, but looks delicious.
Looks great, I’m going to make it this weekend. Healthy and cheap = winning.
Definitely need to spring for an immersion blender one of these days!
Thank you! I might just make this tonight 🙂
It looks delicious. It reminds me of almost a soup version of mesir wot, which is my absolute favorite meal. Thanks for the recipe.
I had something similar to this at an Egyptian restaurant that was delicious, but it was not blended. Other than just not blending this soup, any idea what a similar non blended soup may be?
I have red lentils, “Moroccan seasoning”, cream & veges. I’ll give this a go!
Looks great – and what a wonderful blog!
Looks awesome. Thank you for sharing the recipe 😍
