
One pot creamy pesto chicken pasta calorie reduction swaps:
8 oz of regular penne pasta -> 5 oz chickpea pasta
1 cup of whole milk -> 1 cup unsweetened cashew milk
3 oz cream cheese -> 3 oz greek yogurt
1/3 cup of pesto -> 3 tbsp pesto + 1/4 cup of fresh basil
Total calorie reduction per serving:
~660 to ~401
This turned out insanely good!!

Nice. I’ve been doing pretty well with using half and half instead of heavy cream in pasta things. I’ve never seen cashew milk.

That portion looks so small, didn’t realise the calorie count would be that high
