cabbage is so underrated for volume eating honestly. i do something similar but i add a ton of garlic and a splash of rice vinegar at the end and it gets this amazing sweet tangy thing going on. sometimes ill throw in some shredded carrots too for color and a little extra sweetness

that mushroom block thing sounds interesting, ive never tried it. do you find it actually fills you up or is it more of a texture thing? i usually just do a fried egg on top for protein which keeps the calories pretty low but makes it feel like an actual meal

  2. I like to scramble an egg or two with the cabbage. Really makes it taste like fried rice.

This is my dinner the days I work in office! It takes like 10 minutes to make so it’s great for when I race home and have to make a meal, and hits every craving when I do it right while leaving me so full I physically could not put back anything more lol.

I switch up the seasoning, vegetables besides the cabbage base (obsessed with cabbage), and then I add a dollop of Greek yogurt to dip bites in (especially if I went with a more vinegary base) and/or I finely chop a piece of bacon (from frozen to make it easy). I don’t use any oil to sautee so I make a giant plate for 250-400 depending on how greedy I’m feeling.

Just because someone mentioned bloating – not an issue. Same with kognac noodles, beans and whatnot. I eat a LOT of fiber so my body is used to it I guess. I’ve never experienced an upset stomach or bloating from vegetables, legumes.

It’s the ugliest thing in the world when I make it so I call it Cabbage Slop and I’m had to find a picture. It’s so ugly it cracks me up.

  4. I love sautéed cabbage and bacon. I scoop out 90% of the grease after the bacon is finished then throw the cabbage back in. It’s such a good quick and easy meal.

I do this and add lean ground beef and a dash soy sauce/sesame oil. So good.

Very simple cabbage dish we made in India
    – cabbage stir fried, peas, salt, chilli, turmeric. Goes amazing with Greek yoghurt on it when you’re eating

Looove when people put up volume eating posts. I love eating massive piles of veggies and fruits because Iove cooking and I love food. Volume eating is just *enjoyable*.

    Cabbage is so good.

I eat one head of cabbage per week, sometimes more. I roughly chop it then steam it with one or two other veggies. After I serve it, I liberally apply some Marie Sharp’s Habanero Hot sauce. So good.
