    [I ate] Ichiran Ramen


    I'm in Tokyo. Ichiran Tonkotsu Ramen is always deliciousa here. It's 1,860 yen, but the yen has fallen so much that I can get a bowl about $11. It's a truly impressive dish.

      I am actually curious last time I went. Why is the late night ramen more expensive than regular time?

      Holy fuck 1800 yen? That’s an insane price for what is basically the McDonalds of ramen. Almost any other shop on the street is going to be in the 900-1200 range.

      Edit: After checking their menu it looks like it’s all the side toppings you ordered that drove the price up. Still kind of expensive comparatively.

      That’s fucking absurdly expensive for a bowl of ramen. You can find better ramen for 1000Y in Tokyo.

      Here in Nagoya much better ramen can be had for 700 Yen
