    I find that different grains have some great flavors. Maybe try wild rice? or a rice blend? I have a lovely tri color quinoa blend that I get from a wholesaler and it’s delicious.

    Roast some veggies in the oven with a little garlic, acid and evoo. That’ll make every bite have some smokiness and zing. By acid I mean something like balsamic vinegar or lemon juice.

    Since this is such a blank slate meal you can choose any non starchy veggie to roast – brussel sprouts, asparagus, red peppers, blistered tomatoes, carrots, zucchini.

    I’m not sure what your chicken is seasoned with but using a quality spice rub is an easy way to add lots of flavor. The Spice House has some really great mixes!
