[homemade] Cerf bourguignon, red wine braised venison with carrot, mushroom, and onion

  1. The recipe is Julia Child’s from Mastering the Art of French Cooking with a couple of tweaks. First, obviously I swapped some venison stew meat for the beef, since my dad is a hunter and I had a bunch from him. Second, I’m not a fan of white mushrooms so I used oyster mushrooms instead. I served it with mash, bread, melted leeks, and some green beans.
