I enjoy strong, pungent, intense, aged cheeses (e.g., Stilton, Pecorino Romano, extra-mature English cheddar, Parmigiano Reggiano). Today I came across a good deal on Isigny Ste Mere Camembert D'Isigny (https://www.isigny-ste-mere.com/en/products/our-cheeses/camembert/) and decided to try it.
I assumed that Camembert is generally a strong cheese, and since this one is from France, I expected it to be particularly good and authentic. However, I'm a bit confused. it's very mild, with no strong flavor or aroma at all.
Is this how it's supposed to be, or is there something wrong with my cheese?
