








This is a copycat recipe from a place called Mac’s in Wisconsin. They serve your chosen Mac in a personal sized cast iron. I’ve done it in my largest cast iron before but this batch was larger and I’ve found that it comes out drier when using cast iron. My pan is well seasoned, don’t come for old girl. It’s the residual heat that dries it out.

Strawberries and Mac and cheese…as one does.
Cast iron stays hot and dries it out, so pull it earlier and make the sauce wetter.
Looks damn good. Though, not sure about the strawberries…
