This was surprisingly good, I was reluctant at first considering we were in a rather touristy area and it prepared for us out of a small boat. However to my surprise the ice cream had an almost perfect velvety texture delicious coconut flavor without being too sweet. The rice was warm, soft and delicious, and of course the crunchy peanuts added some nice texture. Probably helped it was early in the morning, so everything was super fresh. Sticky rice might have been lowkey the best part, hard to compete in the US with Asia when it comes to rice.
I would happily buy this exact item again if I could. Thankfully we have a local Thai place that has nearly this exact dish on the menu, perhaps unsurprisingly it used to be an off menu item that the chefs would prepare for themselves, and they started offering it to customers. Miss my coconut shell though!
