I kicked off this weekend with the short walk to my local cheesemonger and got myself some Montgomery Cheddar, apparently, they're 4 generations it to the cheese making game and use unpasteurised milk from their own heard. (So both the fella in the shop and the blurb on their website repeated).
Hand-selected Montgomery Cheddar — The Bristol Cheesemonger
It really was surprisingly nutty, but an absolute winner – so it's a candidate for making my list!
Next up will be Keens Extra Mature Unpasteurised Cheddar Cheese – Keens Cheddar
I love a really tangy, vintage cheddar so any suggestions would be welcome.
I am thinking (as I haven't had it in a while) that Bath Blue might take the blue cheese spot, but I am open to suggestions. Bath Blue | British Cow's Milk Cheese – The Fine Cheese Co.
And if you have time, can you help me curate me a Christmas cheese board? Generally I tend to get in about 6 or 7 different cheeses for Yuletide, and am always open to the idea of trying something new.
