Trying some new things with last season’s deer. This came out so good!

    -Rub roast with your favorite taco seasoning, I mix my own, let sit in fridge for 24hr

    -Slow cooker method:

    2.5lb deer roast

    2 jalapeño de-seeded and diced

    1/2 yellow onion diced

    5 cloves garlic minced

    One lime juiced

    2 oranges juiced

    4 cups beef broth

    Few dashes of liquid smoke.

    Cook on low for 8 hours. Cube roughly and add back to cook an additional hour on high.

    Place on baking sheet and pull the rest of the way. Add some of the liquid over the top and broil for 5-7 minutes on high.

    Assemble taco to your preference.

    Wouldn’t they just be slow cooked venison tacos? Im pretty sure carnitas means pork.
