I made ratatouille for my in-laws as a token of my gratitude after they got me a fancy handmade knife. I don’t have a mandolin, so this was a great way to use the knife for the first time. 🥰

Looks nice but it’s not the tradition of the peasant stew. The point is to make a stew, a blending of flavors.
