I made this for my love tonight, it was delicious. The steak was seasoned simply with salt and pepper, seared on a carbon steel skillet and baked until medium rare. Mashed potatoes was the standard affair, mashed skin-on and a bit chunky. Asparagus cooked butter and finished with a splash of lemon juice. Taste 10/10. The NY Strip sear could have been better, but nobody complained.
