  1. I’ve been craving potatoe stew lately, a childhood classic that I only make once a year probably.

Ingredients: 500g potatoes (starchy ones, like for mashed), 1 carrot, 1 onion, 3 garlich cloves; spices: laurel leaves, jamaican pimento, salt&pepper, garlic powder, paprika and onion powder, sunflower oil.

I’ve cut everything, except for the carrot, which I shredded. Sauteed onion, garlic, carrot for just 2 min, added potatoes, sauteed some for for another 3 min. Added all spices, covered with just enough water and a lid. Simmered for 20 minutes and added a bit of extra water at halftime.

Served sprinkled with feta + schnitzel and salad (iceberg, radish, spring onions).

    Yum!

Later edit: my mom and grandma would have definitely added tomato paste to the stew as well, but I skipped it this time.
