Oh my gosh y’all. This is the best box cake I’ve ever had.

Cake mix + 12 oz. sugar free soda + 1 tsp. baking soda for the cake, bake as usual.

For the frosting – mix 1 regular size box of sugar free pudding with 1 cup skim milk, then fold in a tub of cool whip

Try mixing the pudding into the milk slowly and in small amounts to avoid it clumping.

About 200 calories a slice depending on how you decide to cut it, and how evenly 😉 enjoy!!

Okay I need answers. What does the soda do? All I can see is flavor obviously, moisture (in the form of water however), and MAYBE leavening from the carbonation.

It’s used instead of eggs/milk for fats. Can’t you just use flavored still water instead?

My mom used to make these when she did WW! She always used diet cream soda and made a whipped cream topping. So good 😊

I discovered recently that Betty Crocker has a sugar free mix range! I’ve been doing cupcakes with soda, my most recent crazy creation was vanilla sugar free muffin mix with sugar free raspberry soda and a mixed in a handful of blueberries. Raspberry-blueberry cupcakes that came out at 105 calories each, and so moist and delicious.

Why do you use coconut milk whip topping but then cows milk? Just wondering, that coco whip is expensive

I do this but using Greek yogurt with pudding mix for the frosting to get some more protein.

I’m still mad they reduced the box size to 13.25 OZ. Ruined ratios for my modified sweets. 😢

I remember the era of 18oz cake mix.

Do I need to add any of the other ingredients it usually asks for (butter/oil, eggs, etc)? Or solely as you said just add in the soda?

  10. I will do this and try out a jello cake with sugar free jello and just whipped topping
