  1. I feel you dude, I bought some Cheeto puffs with the intention of “portioning my little treat” instead, half the bag became a single portion, worth it though

It’s so bad 😩 atp I just try to make the snacks lower cal, with their frequency it ends up being less detrimental. I love having miso soup and broth, sf drink mixes, rice cakes, veggie chips. But it’s always the chocolate…

🙋🏻‍♀️ Ate 700 calories of just rice alone last time! That was my entire dinner, burnt bits of the claypot rice! 🤣🤣🤣

I have an IUD and don’t get a period, but still get hormonal fluctuations. So I have NO CLUE when those bad boys are coming for me. I’ll be doing great, then all of a sudden I’m crying and eating 2 candy bars and some ice cream

    Luteal phase?😖

I am unstoppable before and during ovulation. I’d eat a whole cow and a pig.

Then the days before the deed, I would eat 10,000 sweets (full of nutella, all of them, I don’t even like or normally eat sweets). Every week I go shopping, I buy things to make 3 chocolate cakes to prep. And never make them.

Edit: I have maybe 5 recipes with choco cheesecake, low calorie version (basically just cream cheese with cocoa). I can easily stand this one (most because I’d eat proper dessert, not fake one), but before this, struggle is real.

The lunch that keeps me full until dinner most of the month is suddenly like air during that ~special~ time.

I use the fit crunch mint chocolate protien bars (it tastes like a thin mint), halo top ice cream, or 3 pieces of the Hershey dark chocolate is like 120 cals to get me through it. I also tend to just eat at maintenance, which is a bit higher- for a day or two where the cravings are really bad. Keeping it to just those few days I havent gained yet. My loss is likely a *little* slower, but im not miserable and crying over wanting chocolate so idc.

  8. Same — gotta stock up for all the nutrients about to leave your body … I honestly wonder how many calories having your period burns*. I know that donating blood “burns” quite a few.

*Obviously it’s not so much burning as calculating the nutritional cost of remaking the blood again.

  9. I just get used to being super strict during the first two weeks because the 2nd is too hard. I binge on sugar no matter what.

Just have to hope for maintenance when my cycle makes me sooo hungry. Also a few days per month it’s painful to work out so I just give myself grace and get back on the wagon after.

Had really bad ice cream cravings and saw this post. It made me go “oh that’s why!!”

I can relate so hard to this. Not only do I want to eat my weight in sugar, I have to absolutely force myself to do any exercise.

  13. So unfair that one of the best things in this world – chocolate – costs a lot of mfing calories damn

  14. Tell me about it. I think I have that phase now as I snacked at midnight yesterday. Didn’t count the calories. Felt bad.

  15. I hate to tell you, but I am five years post menopause and I still get this. I don’t think it’s quite once a month, tho, I’m too lazy to bother tracking. But I’ll be trucking along, calorie deficit no biggie, and suddenly I become feral for a few days.
