So fully transparency I’m only 158cm, I just had my first dexa scan to get a before picture of my body, as a first step in weight loss. The purple is fat, the red is lean mass, blue is bone.

I was pretty amazed at how comprehensive the test is, it is. Sadly I found out my body fat percentage is actually 46.7% which puts me into the obese category. I was shocked. It also told me my RMR(resting metabolic rate is around 1,109cal.) Which as the doctor told me puts me into a place where I should be eating around 1,200-1,300 to loose body fat, while exercising, and eating protein to gain more lean mass.

I wish my dexa were this flattering. I was at 50 percent bf, but my image looks like it isn’t even human

This level of accuracy and transparency is, frankly terrifying. I want and don’t want one for myself with equal measure.

that makes no sense tho. there is clearly not 46% purple in that image. there’s not even like 33%

ETA: yea I am an idiot lol

  4. Us guys, meaning we’re all or mostly obese? How tragic for you to be one of us.

You’re obese?? You look so small and normal sized. It’s crazy how much fat we can have without even thinking about it 🙁
