    I had this the other day. I planned to get a mama burger with cheese at A&W because they’re my *favourite* (A&W in Canada is AMAZING – best burgers of the fast food burgers).

    I ordered at the drive through, got my burger, and drove off. I’m 10 minutes down the highway and I bite into my burger… they gave me a Marsala burger, not a mama burger. So I have a spicy vegetarian patty with Indian-style flavours instead of my juicy beef burger.

    I mean, it wasn’t *awful* but the double take my tastebuds made when I was expecting something else didn’t make it enjoyable.

    It was my first treat meal in a while and I may have cried to my husband about it when I got home.

  2. This ruined my weekend with some bad barbeque and a single aperol spritz. AND it cost me FORTY DOLLARS for the pleasure

    real! its getting to the point where sometimes im like “is it even worth it anymore”? which I guess is a good thing. got fast food a couple weeks back for the first time in a while and i was like?? i wasted my calories on *this???*

  4. Dude. Relate. I hiked 8 miles so I could order Carbon Fire’s “salad” bowl. It was…tasty but idk how much oil they used bc it made me feel sick for 2 days AND I gained water weight from it. Big penguin mad.

    This is me in Vegas this week. I’ve decided not to count and splurge for the few days and the food has not been worth the calories. It’s so frustrating because three of my favorite restaurants have just been bleh and triple the price

  6. I got so frustrated with this once that when the craving hit to go again, the rage over how I unsatisfied I was the last time totally broke the craving. So when this happens now, I try to really let myself experience the frustration so I can use it for willpower to say no next time. Idk if that’s crazy or not but it works 🤷🏼‍♀️

    been disappointed so many times by high calorie fast food orders that i just try to recreate them at home, at least the cals are more accurate

    I threw a whole donut out yesterday because one bite in, I knew it wasn’t worth the calories.

    OMG! Yes! I thought it was only me who had that experience. I’m sorry for your disappointment, but happy you have one less temptation to fight.

    Ugh me with the boba tea I was looking forward to all week that was like 600 kcal and didnt taste good.

  11. I find myself craving smaller things like a 2 or 3 cheese grilled sandwich, buttered pasta, or garlic bread, cause I know those will be always satisfying and never disappointing

  13. I really do be saving my calories for a nice cheesy dinner and then decide

    Fu*k it. I will just splurge my kcal allowance on cottage cheese with honey, peanut butter and granola becaus it always tastes amazing

    I did this with Red Lobster this week. The chicken breast over spaghetti squash I made the next night at home was so much more enjoyable.
