I bought the Mission Zero Net Taco Tortillas and apparently it’s 110 cals for three? It used to be 25 cals per tortilla, meaning 3 would have been 75 cals! Even online it has the old nutrition label and same with Lose It! and MFP.
Probably a rounding or averages issue; there’s 2g protein in one tortilla and now 7g in 3; it would imply there was only 1.8 g per tortilla actually in the original, but they rounded up. Etc.

Maybe they upped the serving size? The screenshot really doesn’t show the amount of tortillas

Can someone tell me why these labels are able to subtract fiber carbs? the second ingredient is literally wheat starch, but the label is claiming there’s 0 carbs 💀

This is actually the worst news I’ve gotten all week what the fuck 😭😭😭

All of the mission carb balance tortillas changed. It was like a year ago though in my area.
The Ole Xtreme wellness ones did too, the biggest one used to be 80cal now it’s 110cal.

Just a ~25cal difference. That’s probably a rounding error

Are these actually good?

Interestingly this is the realistic calorie amount, as modified wheat starch has 2 calories per gram instead of 0 while still being a fiber. Did the FDA update the regulation on it?

La Banderita is better anyway 😉
Jk jk. That’s annoying for sure.

YEP! It did change. I actually just ate the last “old” one that was 25 calories. When I was in store picking up more, I thought I was losing it haha (I don’t mind the extra cals/tortilla, but just very confused) until I got home and looked at my last pack.

It’s a guess because all of them are different sizes anyway

if 25 – 40 cals is gonna make or break you youre doing it wrong.
1240 is plenty. 😀

There was a class action lawsuit about the ole xtreme wellness ones having more calories and carbs than advertised, I wonder if they had the same problem or something

Have you been weighing each individual tortilla to make sure you’re actually eating 18g each this whole time?
I understand you’re eating, conceptually, an extra 35 calories but I think we’re being a little dramatic here.
Also, the regular street taco tortillas are 75 calories per tortilla so this is still extremely low calorie. “Original” is also in reference to the flavor of the tortilla.

The roasted tomato ones still say 25 calories so I’m just eating those now HahHa

The serving size for your 110 calories is 3 tortillas. So still a bit higher but not 330 for 3

Maybe the ingredients changed and that caused the calorie count to go up.

They’re different products. My grocery stores have both

I get it but it’s still very low cal for the amount. Ain’t that big a deal

I saw this too! I was going to get some the other day and thought I was losing my mind because I knew for sure they were 25 per before.

They did change. Looks like the company reformulated the tortillas and updated the calories. I also feel like the actual texture of the tortillas changed a little

Nutritional labels can be inaccurate by up to 20%, so honestly take any calorie counting with a grain of salt.

Wait so I get the ones from costco and they are GIGANTIC at 70 calories a piece. Should I be concerned?

Come on, “crashing out” over 40 calories? Maybe reflect on that.

The old nutrition label
Because the service size now says 3 tortillas
One has 7 grams of protein now! Pretty good
