I’m taking my mom out to this Mexican restaurant for her birthday tomorrow and was wondering what you guys think would be the healthiest and/or lowest calorie thing to order! They have a huge menu so it’s a bit overwhelming, but I was thinking of ordering the “Tacos Parian” (on the 5th page at the top) with grilled shrimp instead of fish and having everything but the rice.

Any thoughts or suggestions? Thank you!

  1. I probably would do fajitas and mainly eat the fillings (not the tortillas) or one of the soups. There are probably some good options with seafood (and they have a lot of it to choose from), but I don’t really eat seafood so I can’t be much help there. Have fun with your mom!

    1. Kids meal
    2. Whatever you want – eat half
    3. Avoid flour tortillas – corn tacos, meat, salsa, onion, cilantro.
    4. Carrots, always carrots.

  3. How about just enjoy anything you want on the menu and don’t overthink/over complicate things. It’s not like you are eating like this every day.

Fajitas!!! But just eat the veggie and meat, skip the rice, beans and tortillas. Or just do 1 of the 3. If you skip all 3, add a bit of queso on top and the fajitas are filling enough!!

  5. 3 tacos. each tortilla is 50 calories and holds about 1.5 oz (when raw) meat. Try all the salsas.

I’d most likely eat a taco salad. But that’s because I like taco salads.

One day of overeating will not kill your progress. It’s a birthday. Get whatever you want, eat some birthday dessert, and tomorrow eat 1,500 again.
