If anything i actually want to share as helpful its 2 things –

1) Personally, my weight loss plateaued when eating closer to 1500-1600kcal. Thats when i learned that if you’re not eating enough for your size, you can really shoot yourself in the foot.

2) Please remember, even on this sub, aside from generally applicable advice for the masses, everyone should consider how any advice on here would work for their body. Experiment. Give things at least 2 maybe 3 weeks to take before drawing any conclusions on how it impacted you.

  1. That’s impressive. Seeing results is always such a great feeling. Hope you’re loving the changes & proud of yourself.

  2. Well done!

What are using to calculate muscle mass? I just have a basic calculator which gives BMI but muscle mass would be helpful.

  3. Congratulations! You’re doing amazing. No shame in seeking validation, I think this is what these communities are for, support each other.

Great results already showing, stay determined!

That is huge progress! I had no idea so much could be done in that kind of timeframe. Keep up the good work. Incredible reduction in your percent body fat. Thank you for the inspiring post.

Excellent progress… I believe you will soon need your pants taken in…. I got to know my local tailor very well during my journey. It doesn’t make sense to buy new clothes until you reach your goal… so keep at it.

You have made outstanding changes in your life.

Your consistency and hard work definitely show! This is great progress and you should be really proud of yourself. Keep it up!

  8. Awesome progress! This is actually inspiring for me because my stats are currently like your starting ones so to know I can potentially lose that amount of body fat in a month or even two is awesome motivation. What kind of exercises have you been doing? Any particular diet pointers you would give? Any advice would be much appreciated.

  9. You earned the validation and up votes! Congrats and keep it up. As well, keep it off!

Just out of interest, how are you measuring body fat, muscle mass and water weight?

I can see you lost a lot off your belly. You’ve lost everywhere, really, but the belly from the front is especially noticeable.

It’s working! You should pat yourself on the back and reward yourself with something you love (non-food related).

  13. F’n awesome!
I’ve lived off protein shakes and water for almost 2 weeks and the suffering hasn’t been worth it.
I was about to say F-it but you’ve inspired me

  14. Boy, you could do a lot with this. Combine the weight loss with the pictures. Can you see the differences?

Hey, put that on an app and fund a dieting program that will help people lose weight.

You gave me that idea, and with your weight loss, it looks like you got a tattoo added unless I’m wrong?

You shouldn’t feel badly about asking, dude. I would say you’re pretty darn brave. I wouldn’t do what you just did. 👍👍👍👍👍👍

I’m camera shy unless I look my best. I am too much of a perfectionist.

But just wait until your wife is going to be asking for more of you! Seconds, please! Maybe you could do some chipndips for the wife.

Just keep it between you two. That’s how marriage works. I call it chipndips as a joke. It’s Chippendales.

I loved this even though I have never been to chipsndips

I like this thread. it’s full of cheerful leaders. I always wanted to be a cheerleader, but that doesn’t stop me from liking to dance. Dance when no ones watching.

Congratulations!! You should be proud of your hard work, I know how hard it can be. You’re amazing!

Would you say you started losing more after increasing your caloric intake as your body left “survival mode”? Just curious!

  16. Music affirmations for your weight loss.

I remember long ago I used to belong to the diet center, and I lost 30 pounds to get into the army reserves. I was on a 1,000 calorie diet. I was crabby, too, because I felt hungry. I was so crabby my poor parents ran out of the kitchen because of that it made me think of your title, and yes, it makes sense if you want to lose and keep your weight off. No crabby diets for me. I love this forum because you make sense.

I like this song because the video has a man running a race through life, and everyone is encouraging him to keep going. Maybe it will help encourage you all to keep running that race and to get through those obstacles. Especially with weight. We have word affirmations, but what about music affirmations?

Somewhere, there’s a river looking for a stream Somewhere, there’s a dreamer looking for a dream Somewhere, there’s a drifter trying to find his way Somewhere, someone’s waiting to hear somebody say I believe in you I can’t even count the ways that I believe in you And all I want to do is help you to believe in you Somewhere, someone’s reaching, trying to grab that ring Somewhere, there’s a silent voice learning how to sing Some of us can’t move ahead, we’re paralyzed with fear And everybody’s listening ’cause we all need to hear I believe in you I can’t even count the ways that I believe in you And all I want to do is help you to believe in you I will hold you up, I will help you stand I will comfort you when you need a friend I will be the voice that’s calling out I believe in you And there are just so many ways that I believe in you Baby, what else can I do but believe in you? I believe in you All I want to know is you believe, yeah, yeah Believe in you
