I was both the skinniest and the fittest I’d ever been in my life when we met… very quickly put on 25lbs that I’m still struggling to lose 🥲

  2. I gained 25 lbs when I started working at Meta haha I since quit a year ago and I’m still working on loosing weight haha thank god I’ve stuck with counting calories and subscribing to this subreddit… as well as finally acknowledging my tendency to eat the same thing everyday, I am now trying to get myself to eat the same foods that have less calories everyday instead of like a 648 calorie sandwich hahahaha

But awesome food choices there! Those look really good

In my previous relationship, I was at my slimmest and fittest when we met.

She was a chef, of the kind that brings her work home with her (not the kind who can’t stand cooking when not at work), and firmly believes that every dish should have a stick of butter to finish. I gained 25kg.

But ok, I’m responsible for my own body and what goes into it. I only started to lose weight last year. We’ve been split up 5 years but we’re still friends. She just came to visit and stayed 2 months (😭 way too long for a houseguest, but anyway)

I managed to stick to maintenance while she was here, but only through keeping myself to the tiniest portions known to mankind. I’ve lost a kilogram since she left 3 weeks ago 😂 it’s crazy looking at my weight chart, it’s steady loss for 11 months, and then flatline for the 2 months she was here. (She also insisted that I don’t need to lose weight and that I should eat anger lava cake) So it’s not just the relationship, sometimes it’s just being around a feeder!

    I feel your pain

  4. Yes, mostly due to wanted to go to new restraunts and try new things lol. Or sometimes we’d bake or cook new recipes and overeating. Luckily I’ve managed to shave close to 40lbs off.

Luckily my bf is on a diet (follows about 1700 to lose) and so he understands well about the calorie counting and making the swaps so that I can still enjoy. We get the same thing just he gets bigger portions but the weight loss has slowed down

Wife and I met in our physical primes. Then, we gained a combined 75 pounds. 🙁

  7. Gained 15 lbs from new relationship in about 9 months. I’m back at it. 5 down 10 more to go. So much harder taking off than putting on!

I feel you, I gained 15kg during the seven years I have been with my partner 💀 It crept up veeery slowly so I only really noticed last year due to some of my clothes no longer fitting, but all those treats he kept buying me + the portions he kept putting on my plate really added up

    I lost like 5kg already, tho 😤
