Did you weigh the pork ? Seems like a lot for only 5.7 oz.
stayontop0 on
That does not look like 5.7 oz. Maybe per chop but not in total.

as someone who worked in meat i’d suggest making sure you weighed it properly if you’re counting calories

There is a LOT of glistening for no oil being logged, and that looks like the post cooking weight of the pork, not the raw weight. I hope I’m wrong, because it looks great.
my favorite meal is honestly 1/2 cup oatmeal with a tbsp of pb tbsp of unsweetend cocoa powder tbsp of corn starch 1 scoop birthday cake iso dyno protein 1/2 scoop of ghost chips ahoy and 1 scoop of bulletproof collagen protein ^w^

one of my favorite meats is pork and i think you might be undercalculating. make sure you weight it before cooking not after. one 4 ounce chop for me is normally in the 200 range.

If this a single meal for bro why are we splitting hairs about the meat weighing let him enjoy himself lmao.

Pigs have been bred in the last 50 years to be way WAY leaner than before. As a result most pork processing places are constantly out of lard (restaurants use it for everything to make it taste better) and it’s a lot harder to cook pork on dry heat without it getting tough and dried out. This was all during the period where fat was super demonized in the US and the pork industry was trying to relabel itself as ‘the other white meat’ after seeing the demand for chicken breast skyrocket.
Anyhoo, just wanted to share.

Don’t forget to include cooking oils in your tracking! Looks yum though!

That’s not 5.7oz of raw pork. It might be 5.7oz of cooked pork, which is approximately 8oz raw pork. Iirc you’ll only gain another 100-150 calories but adjust your weights appropriately. Raw weight is not the same as cooked.

Did you track the oil you fried it in?
