    Looks so yummy but congee passes through me like water and I get hungry within an hour.

  4. Sorry y’all here is the recipe! Serves two. I eyeball my calorie counts a bit for Sanity but should be about 550kcal, per serving (makes 2)!

    Marinated in the morning: 2 chicken thighs, in rice vinegar, soy sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, ginger powder (eyeballed amounts).

    Congee: 6cups water 1/2cup rice (I used “Royal”) + 1tbsp Better-than-Bouillon. Simmer over medium for ~45-1h until desired consistency is reached.

    When congee is nearly complete, fry chicken thighs in a hot pan with just a spritz of oil.

    Jammy egg is a 6.5-7minute egg over medium-high boil, cooled in an ice bath immediately.

    Final accoutrements are soy sauce+plum syrup (Korean)+tiny bit of sesame oil 🙂
