So apparently Hailey Bieber has a viral $17 dollar smoothie. (Realize this might mean squat to many of you, but fun fact!). This recipe comes from fitness influencer Katie Austin. Don’t feel like linking but it’s one of her most recent posts.
The smoothie has a great taste. Definitely for people who like strawberries. Tastes decadent like a dessert. Next time I will see if I can omit the maple syrup to lower the calories.

I rarely add smoothies to my diet as I find them not as satisfying as I’d hope or they make me feel hungry quickly. Are you having this as a snack or a meal replacement? Also, how do the dates incorporate? Do you get (small) chunks or do you barely notice them?

My problem with smoothies is it changes the whole experience of eating, causing you to down calories at a pace you would never achieve by chewing and swallowing. 300 calories is a LOT and the idea that you were impressed it kept you full for … an HOUR??? is telling. I ask a lot more from my food. I have a 160 calorie breakfast- a hard boiled egg sprinkled with Tajin and an 80 calorie piece of Havarti or Gouda OR an 80 calorie unsweetened Greek yogurt and I expect 4 hours of satiety from that. I’m not trying to discourage you from eating what you love and what works for you, I just wanted to give you some perspective about why some of us don’t get excited about smoothies.

This looks great! I have a smoothie most days as my mid morning snack. I am not on a 1500 cal diet because that is not enough for me (32F 5’8”). I’ve found that adding the right portions fat, protein and carbs, I am satisfied for 3-4 hours! The fat is the game changer for feeling full for me. I’ll have to try this one. Thanks!

This sounds amazing! I love strawberries and smoothies. I’ve found that Greek yogurt really helps to keep me full too — I’ll have to try this!

I’m super late, but is most (all?) of the protein from the yogurt. That’s a lot of protein for the calories, feel like I don’t even get that from disgusting protein bars.
