Only at 677 cal today but I feel stuffed and dont have an appetite which is unusual for me. Also, nothing sounds good to eat.
I swam for an hour splitting between freestyle and backstroke, but logged it as 40 min in the app as after 2 laps I took 10-20 second rest periods.
Can excercise suppress your appetite?

I say eat more. Maybe you’re not feeling hungry, but your body still needs energy to function properly. A calorie deficit is important for weight loss, but the goal shouldn’t be to eat as little as possible.

I can’t swim without coming out of the pool with a massive appetite.

No.
First of all, why would you force yourself to eat when you’re not hungry if you’re trying to lose weight? Makes no sense.
Also, listening to your body means listening to both hunger cues and fullness cues.
Since you say, this is unusual for you, you could be coming down with an illness or have some mild stomach acidity or something like that that just isn’t making you hungry today. And that’s OK! I would only worry if this becomes a long-term thing.

Truthfully, this is the dilemma that made me delete all my tracking apps. I really liked knowing what I was eating in detail, but all too often I found myself eating extra because I could/should. I felt like it was slowly training me to not listen to my body.
In your specific situation, I wouldn’t eat. Although I’d take mental note of how “under” I was and expect myself to go a little “over” tomorrow. I was often struggling to hit the right number each day due to different activity levels, but just listening to my body, I usually could be right on at the end of the week, as an average.

A lot of time when I start trying to cut back I get the feeling I don’t want to eat. usually this catches up to me and I binge.

I see your question has already been answered. I’d like to ask if you could share the chili + sandwich breakdown/recipe

If you’re not hungry, you don’t need to force yourself to eat. It’s bad obviously to eat much less than you should for extended periods of time, but one day is fine. I mean, people do day long fasts all the time. I promise you’ll be ready to eat again tomorrow
