Hi guys. I was in a pretty toxic relationship with a girl, and we both got hooked on drugs. Mine was alcohol and uppers, hers was mostly opiates. On my birthday she ended up making a bad decision that caused a ton of drama and we broke up. I was pretty suicidal and really didn’t feel I had much to live for.

As you can probably imagine my world was pretty jaded after this. And I ended up hitting a horrible depression where I basically just drank or sat around smoking weed and eating door dash every day. Three months ago I finally woke up, found this community, and believed in what all of you told me which was if you don’t cheat the system it will work.

I started at 232 on August 9th and as of today (November 2nd) I am 196 pounds. Not only am I shedding weight, I feel so much younger and healthier now. I was excusing it on turning 30 but it was just me being fat, I can run and do all the things I liked to do again. And on top of all that groceries are so cheap each week.

Sorry for the paragraphs, I just wanted to say from the bottom of my now hopefully less clogged heart, thank you guys for the direction on here. You have changed my life forever and I hope anybody reading this who is curious if they stick to 1500 calories, will it work, the answer is a resounding yes.

  2. Good job man! Looking great! I recently ate at 2300 kcal and lost quickly then just BAM i hit a plateau. Surely it’s water weight I thought. A week later I realized 2300 is my TDEE. So now I’m eating 1500 and lose at a decent pace again. Start weight: 152 kg. Current weight: 110 kg.

  3. Good work man!

Any recipes you’d recommend? Snacks? I’m pretty much at your starting weight right now and struggling to stop overeating

  4. Your post inspired me to get my shit together and commit. Thank you for sharing your experience.

  5. Damn dude you look amazing and you should be so proud! Not just from the physical transformation but because of the mental change you’ve had. You sound like you really know what you’re doing and what you need to do for yourself. That amazing. Congratulations and keep with the healthy habits!!

  6. Amazing work, congrats! 1500 calories a day is the truth! Last year I lost about 50 lbs in 4 months (210-160) by doing the same, the weight just melted off. All I can advise is to try to change your eating habits permenantly, I’ve gained most of it back one year later because I’ve been eating like a pig since stopping. Looking forward to starting the journey all over again!
