This is just expensive, pre-flavored tvp (textured vegetable protein). If cost is a factor for you, see if you can find tvp! It’s 18g/110cal.
Otherwise, rock on and enjoy!

Tempeh is 31, it’s great cut, heated in pan, add bbq sauce, serve with picnic sides or sandwich it. But I’m in a bbq tempeh phase atm.

Morningstar Grillers crumbles is about the same 9grams/60 calories and, to me, tastes better

The boca original vegan burgers have a lot of protein for 80 calories if you can find them! They are easier in find the newer version but those are only 100 calories so still great

this is so good in burrito bowls, in pasta, with rice, in salads, and on top of roasted veggies!

One high protein item that I haven’t seen mention is Lewis Keto Bread at 16.7g of protein per 100 cal.
This is a lot like regular wheat bread with a very high protein level. You can make a sandwich where the bread is more nutritious than the filling.

You won’t beat protein powder for protein per calorie

TVP is super easy. You just reconstitute it and for soupy thing like spaghetti sauce or chili that means just stirring it into the pot.
Sprouts brand bulk pea protein is 24g of protein for 110 kcal. Doesn’t taste great but it’s a quick and easy way to get protein in.

Pro tip for gardien beefless tips, let them defrost then flatten them for a stir fry!

I’ve been a coach to vegan athletes for over ten years. The most protein dense food I have found in that time is Yves Veggie Bacon (previously called Yves Canadian Bacon) 3 slices is 70 calories, 2g carbs, .5g fat, 14g protein. That’s better than even most protein powders.

I have an obsession with this. Turned this into a bolognese 2x last week I’m so addicted! I fry a ton of salt, paprika and cinnamon in the pan, a jar of pasta sauce and this.. and omg, with angel hair pasta, I’m in heaven. If I want it less carby I fry up chopped zucchini, do the whole sauce thing again and eat it without the pasta. Love it.

I make this Indian dish with TPV called Akuri, and use the TVP instead of the eggs. It’s supposed to be scrambled eggs with onion, tomato, cilantro, chilis, garlic and ginger, tumeric, and a little garam masala but I use TVP instead. It’s delicious.

Baiye tofu is 19.5g/164cal, lower in protein in comparison but it’s pretty cheap at around $2 where I’m from.

Yesssssss their grounds are way better than Morningstar Farms. A whole pack of regular tofurkey is 330 calories for 42g protein. I know people are down on the sodium (1050mg) but bloodwork has shown I’m low on sodium (bp 112/60) and the pack is part of an OMAD for me, so it fits my macros

I am going to try this. I am looking to cut back on beef (well, animal products in general) but wanted to still get the protein. This might be a good option…
