  1. Over 1700 mg sodium per can, yikes. If you’re okay with that I don’t think you’re missing anything.

I wouldn’t make a habit of it, for salt and money reasons, but occasionally… yeah.

It’s easy, fast, low-thought, tasty, pretty filling, and it leaves five-sixths of your daily limit free.

Not everything has to be Michelin-level.

Yeah. If I wanted to spread the sodium out some I’d probably add something like plain rice and spread it out to 2 meals. But I’ve definitely whipped out a can of soup on some low eating days.

The sodium is awful, but I have made a 4 person dinner out of this and dinte moore soup by adding lots of rice.

  5. I’ve been sick lately and been having progresso light canned soups. Sodium is high but calories around 160-240 calories for entire can and I usually add extra veggies in

LOL, that’s pet food. Nobody would want to eat that!

Actually, you wouldn’t let any pet eat that either.

  7. You’re not missing sodium! But honestly if you don’t have any reason to avoid salt this is fine to have in a pinch or a few times! Enjoy

Add 1c of kale or cauliflower rice to it – it will help bulk the soup and reduce the salt intake

these canned soups just taste awful. What i like to do is just make a pot of soup with the same ingredients and portion it out into ziploc bags and then freeze them flat. When you want some soup just pop it out, break it in half and stick it in the microwave!
