The best fine dining experience I have had. I’ve done Alinea, NEXT, Attica, Tin Lung Heen, The Chairman, Gaggan, Maximo, Rosetta, Per Se, Brea, Vue De Monde, Barley Swine, French Laundry, Catbird Seat, Locust, Bastion, Zahav, and many more.

Somm was excellent. Service was excellent. It was a little hot inside the restaurant. Could’ve done with it being 3-4 degrees cooler inside.

The starter bites were amazing. The tamale was fantastic. Just exceptional in every way. Cannot rave enough about my experience tonight.

The tamale is the best thing I’ve ever eaten. The ice cream with caviar was sick too. And the mussel tart. I fucking hated that they put those beans on the steak though, ruined that dish for me

Kicking myself for not getting a rez when I was there in December!

I’m really wondering if they had an off-night when we visited. Of the higher-end restaurants we visited last year (Jordnær, Mil, Mérito, Disfrutar, and Zen) it was clearly the weakest of the bunch. I came in with very high expectations, given that so many people on here rank it as their best fine-dining experience, and because I love Mexican cuisine. But for me, it was just a good meal and not a very memorable one. Good cocktails though.
