That was overall a good meal, but probably not one that will stay with us forever. The restaurant is in a old greenhouse in the middle of park, so a cool scenery.
The amuse bouche were stuffed shiso leaves with a tahini sauce, and radishes (that were good), in a curry sauce. While the shiso was honestly really good, I did not find the radish particularly interesting, as it didn't have much punch, and I didn't feel much beyond the curry and the radish. We took the optional beef tartare with oyster, which was good, albeit classical. We then got a strawberry soup (forgot to take a picture), which was both fun and refreshing. It was subtle in taste, but I liked the idea very much.
We got butter right after, and I've never seen this before, it was sort of whipped with herbs. It was interesting, but I didn't find the taste of butter at all, which made me sad 😢.
The first dish was centered around a kind of ceviche, with lots of acidity (pickles + apple). Quite bright, and the sauce was really good.
The second dish was around beetroot, with a beurre blanc that was also really really good. I found the balances quite strange, as the berries were very acidic, and threw the balance off whenever you got one. I don't know if that was this particular batch, but I didn't find it very pleasing.
Then there was a mushroom tempura, which was to me the highlight of the meal. It was served with a bouillabaisse reduction, it was bright, velvety, deep… Their sauces have been absolutely stunning during the whole meal, but this one was a step above the rest.
The main was to me the most disappointing part. I didn't find it cohesive at all. It was a red curry on a base of rendang meat, topped with pork and greens. In all honesty, the pork was tough, (I found, way overcooked) and did not taste nor looked very good. The rest was ok, but I didn't get the vision at all, and did not like it.
I took some cheese, which you choose in advance, and I was shocked, and I mean SHOCKED (/s, but puzzled) that it didn't come sorted by strength. Maybe that's the french in me, but I found it strange and thought that it could leave a bad experience to someone less familiar with cheese.
The dessert was a cook's dessert, with a lavender ice cream, some croutons and a fruity soup. It was refreshing, but didn't blow me away.
The service was casual, but it felt less precise than other starred restaurants we went to. Short (A bit too short) introduction of the dishes, the cheese incident ™️. The room was very noisy, which probably didn't help.
