The neon green relish on those always makes me chuckle.

Yep. That’s a Chicago dog, all right.

I’ll take a Chicago Red Hot any day of the week. I’d probably go a bit easier on the pickle, and a few more sport peppers.
However, I do not begrudge the giant pickle. I mostly want more sport peppers.

Hilarious that they chastise you for putting ketchup on it but this is somehow acceptable.

I had one from a place called Portillos or something like that last week. It was good but I couldn’t handle the peppers

Dragged through the garden. Love it. In the PNW I can’t get poppyseed buns sadly, but I can get the relish delivered and sport peppers at a specialty shop.

I always grab a dog at Gold Coast Dogs when I’m at Midway airport. They’re definitely not the best Chicago dogs but they beat the hell out of anything else at the airport

Last time I went to Chicago we were there three days and I probably ate 15 Chicago dogs. They’re so good. The worst one I had was Portillos but I had to go.

First one I ever had was from a little hot dog stand on the corner by the Field Museum, loved it and it was years before I found another place that had one. Some small town drive in about an hour south of Chicago that makes their own root beer. They just don’t make them near me unfortunately.

Chicago dogs, as person who LOVES savoury stuff and aversion to sweet, are the absolute best thing to grab while over there
