I used Better than Bullion's "no beef base" in place of chicken broth, so the curry is darker than it would normally be.

    I always thought it was weird that people do curry with katsu and not katsu sauce and just learned that in Japan usually it is just served with katsu sauce. But now im dying to try out this Japanese curry with katsu dish that seems so popular. If no one’s had katsu sauce with their chicken katsu try it sometime.
