  1. I hosted a spring lunch for my co-workers! The theme was tapas-ish, centered on charred octopus + Spanish omelette.

    It was a bit of a marathon to get everything done and plated, but pretty fun and easy to time! The menu included:

    MAINS & SIDES

    – Charred octopus (romesco, chimichurri) based on Kai Kani’s recipe
    – Spanish omelette w/ aioli from Alison Roman
    – Caesar salad from Alison Roman
    – Shrimp w/ harissa butter from Alison Roman
    – Double tomato focaccia by Ines Anguiano

    THINGS TO PICK AT

    – “Basque nachos” from Isabelle Jardin
    – Fancy citrusy olives from Alison Roman
    – Dilly pickled green beans
    – Pickled asparagus
