Normally I’d associate the verb “drank” with a milkshake, but in this case “ate” does seem appropriate.

I burned my first campfire milkshake attempt by holding the marshmallow too close and torching my ice cream. Second try, I learned to use a stick’s length distance from the coals and work in butter first so it doesn’t separate. Now I freeze my shake base beforehand, toast the marshmallow properly, and fold it in gently. Night and day difference.
