A speciality from the eastern city of Kolkata, India that originated over a hundred years ago when kathi kababs (skewered kababs) became too oily and messy for officegoers to eat hence the chef of Nizam in the city decided to wrap the kababs inside a flakey soft flatbread called porota to make it mess free. And so the kathi roll was born which is now famous all over the country.
