I gave Claire Saffitz’s Dessert Person recipe a try and it did not disappoint.
I know brown butter can be viewed as a bit overplayed, but it really does add a nice nuttiness and complexity to the cookie.
I added a little flaky sea salt to finish after baking, and it cuts the sweetness nicely.

these look incredible! I did a version of this recently using Akpizzaguy’s recipe from instagram where he adds milk powder to the browned butter which boosts the milk solids so you get even more nutty flavor from the browned butter. Really smart technique.
These look amazing! I need to try Ricks at some point as well. The old BA deserts were so good.
How do I age cookie dough? Just make it throw it in the fridge?
These look incredible. I have tried what seems like all of the CC Cookie recipes online, and Claire’s is my favorite! I’ve always done a 24-hour age in the fridge, but I might have to push it an extra day the next time I make them.
That needs an NSFW warning!! Hot asf! 😍💦
With two kinds of chocolate too?! 🤤
“Aged”
They sat in the fridge a few nights. Using that mentality I’ve got some delectable 6 month aged pickles you need to try.
I made a version of these yesterday! Double batch actually. I had bought a bunch of cheap chocolate advent calendars, and never made it to visit the kids they were for. So I opened all the calendar days and used the chocolate to make cookies.
