My first time making this classic flemish dish. My SO is belgian and I love learning to make the recipes that he grew up with.
I could not find vol au vent in the store so I made my own with some store bought paste. The meat balls were too big but i also didnt find small ones at the store so i made my own.
He said that it tasted almost identical to his mums. The best compliment.
