Went to Tuome and had the Restaurant Week menu last night. Husband and I felt it was a really good deal for the price. We added a quail course just because we had heard it was one of their better dishes, and we were right.

Every dish was good, deserving of one star. My favorite was the chicken liver pate; husband’s was the steelhead trout. The sauce the steelhead trout came in was especially tasty—almost sweet but distinctly curried.

Our least favorite dish was the snow crab. We felt the amount of crab given was a bit light. But it was still a good dish.

The restaurant is very, very cozy, even by Manhattan standards. The man sitting at the table next to me was close enough that he could probably smell my cologne and close enough that he had to duck when I put my coat on so that he didn’t get hit in the face. (The restaurant does have a coat closet but no one asked to take ours so it wasn’t clear if it was for customers or just employees.)

Apart from that, I enjoyed the vibes of this place. Not overly fancy or stuffy, just good elevated food. Service was brisk—from enter to exit we took about an hour.
