Are the shells already cooked when they get stuffed? Or are they stuffed raw?

These are so delicious!! I grew up with these, it’s not a quick dinner but it’s one of the yummiest! Plus tons of leftovers. I’m not a huge fan of spinach or ricotta (what my grandma’s recipe calls for) so I use a chive and onion cream cheese and shredded cheese mix. And I like to use ground beef usually but sometimes I use bison (hubs loves bison). I’ve also developed a bit of a habit for nibbling on the filling as I stuff the shells, I wish I could say I’m just tasting it but I’m not. I’m 100% savoring it.
Your post reminds me that I haven’t made any shells in a few weeks. I’m gonna need to fix that! Your post also made my mouth water and my stomach is now very mad that I’m not filling it right this moment.
