The recipe is my basic chili recipe with some fall/winter add ins this go around. I typically use a whole pablano pepper as well but omitted it so my baby can enjoy with us!
* 2 Tbsp olive oil
* 1 yellow onion
* 2 cloves garlic
* 1.5lb. ground beef
* 1 15oz. can kidney beans
* 1 15oz. can black beans
* 1 15oz. can diced tomatoes
* Green pepper (I use pablano)
* 1 6oz. can tomato paste
* 1-2 cup broth
** this time I added two small sweet potatoes and about a cup of tri color quinoa pre-cooked as well as a dash of cinnamon.
Chili Seasoning
* 1 Tbsp chili powder
* 1 tsp ground cumin
* 1/4 tsp cayenne powder
* 1/2 tsp garlic powder
*1/2 tsp onion powder
* 1/2 Tbsp brown sugar
* 1 tsp salt
* 1/2 tsp Freshly cracked black pepper
I typically also eyeball the spices and go by flavor rather than measurements 🙂 but that’s the general idea
Enjoy!
