We used an old dried up piece of homemade sourdough wheat and rye bread for the breadcrumbs.

One large onion cut into slices, all-purpose flour -> beaten eggs -> breadcrumbs. Fried in sunflower oil, moderate temperature so the breadcrumb coating doesn't burn.

Soft, very crunchy and super delicious. A real treat!😉
