Hi everyone — I’m a developer based in Indonesia, and I’d love to share a little of my journey building CapyCal, and ask for your feedback.

Why I built it:
For years I used calorie-tracker apps and kept coming up against the same problem: logging meals became a chore, progress felt invisible, and the whole thing felt a bit cold and judgmental. I thought: “Wouldn’t it be nicer if tracking felt like having a friendly companion?” That’s when the capybara mascot idea came up.

What CapyCal does differently:
• AI Body Scan — instead of just numbers, you take photo snapshots and see visual progress over time.
• Food Tracker made simple — quick logged meals, no complex macros unless you want them.
• Friendly wellness companion vibe — Capy the mascot appears in-app with tips, nudges, encouragement (not shame).

We’re currently launching the early version and we’re focusing on genuine feedback to build it well, not just downloads.

Here’s what we’d love to know from this community:
1. What frustrates you most in your current calorie/wellness app?
2. Would you try an AI body-scan feature? What concerns would you have?
3. If you built your ideal wellness app, what one feature would you demand?

I’ll be reading comments, replying, and taking notes. If you’re willing to test the app and share early thoughts, please DM me and I’ll send you the download details.
If you’re interested, I can also share access to pro features via DM.

Thanks so much for reading—and big thanks to all the devs here sharing their stories. One friendly capybara from Indonesia is cheering on this community!
