I'm an Indian, and recently took an 8 day vacation to Thailand. We got our tickets for super cheap and the whole trip was wrapped under a budget of 60k, which is insane!
But the highlight of this trip HAS to be the amount of Michelin star/Michelin recommended restaurants around the country! And some of the dishes were only around the equivalent of 500 rupees. Through the night markets of Phiket and Bangkok, China Town, Song wat road, everywhere!
I'm technically vegetarian, but decided to go for it and increase my options due to the culture and food in Thailand. And I have to say I am SO GLAD I did.
I've attached some photos here. The dishes that we had in order are:
1. Pork noodles from Sawang Noodle in Bangkok.
2. The Michelin rating at Sawang Noodle.
3. Pad Thai from Thipsamai in Bangkok.
4. Bonus – Phad Krapao chicken with rice from Baan Pad Thai in Bangalore. – one of the first Michelin rated outlets in India.

That looks really good.
How did you like the Ka Prow? That’s one of my favorites, thai basil is so good. also being vegetarian did suddenly eating meat upset your stomach?
That’s at the top of my list whenever I travel, where are the good eats? Thanks for sharing!
No such thing as michelin rated. Common buzzword used by influencers and social media. You either have a star/stars/bib gourmand or you don’t
What is a Michelin rating?
I didn’t know Michelin stars follow regional ~~pricing~~ rating
I am assuming 60K is rupees which is about $675 USD. That is crazy cheap for an 8 day vacation and the food all looks amazing.
Which of those are Michelin stars?
