


Long time lurker but bf encouraged me to post because it was delicious. Randomly wanted the congee from Mulan this morning. Fair warning this is high in sodium— trying to use these salted duck eggs we got from Costco but they are just too salty! I ended up scooping some of the yolk out in mine.
1/3 cup Quaker Oats 100% whole grain rolled oats- 100cal
1 salted duck egg- 90cal
Handful spinach~ 7cal
1 strip Aldi center cut bacon- 25cal
1 tsp Lao Gan Ma chili oil~ 27cal
Small small drizzle sesame oil~ 30cal(?)
Water
Total- 279cal
Do not add extra salt, the egg seasoned it well. But also one egg has 1310mg sodium, so I recommend not eating it often. Can easily do without the chili oil, bacon, and sesame oil but we like a little razzle dazzle and extra aroma.
