7/10 for the spicy, good option but I wouldn’t eat it regularly (deep fried patty). What are your thoughts ?

  1. mcdonalds fries have “beef” flavoring made with dairy, if their burger is another impossible type product im not interested. Im still waiting for someone to offer a garden or black bean burger at a fast food restaurant

  2. Good option to spread vegetarianism, but personally, fuck McDonald’s and everything they stand for.

  3. They should have gone with impossible patties. (Like BK in the USA) Beyond at the very least. I feel like it’s a fail like the ill fated veggie burger they had a long time ago.

  4. If I wasn’t on mobile I’d post the “nice… happy for you… congrats” kid meme from here in the U.S. 😂

Do they cook it on the same grill as the meat though? Or is it cooked separately? That’s always my worry when it comes to ordering veg-friendly food from a fast food chain.

I had both the veggie nuggets things and the mcveggie in Scotland. They are delicious 😋

  7. I wanted to try it, but I tried the Happy Meals instead (the grilled cheese and the lettuce tomato wrap). My friend and I wanted to get the Tiny Tan toys haha. Wrap was boring af. Grilled cheese was what you would expect a burger bun with cheese to be like. It was fun to get a Happy Meal though, since it had been at least 12 years since I had one. I may try the spicy McVeggie sometime next week

  8. Did you not have vegetarian burgers? In the Netherlands we’ve had them for years. Some burgers you specifically have to choose the meat option because the veggie is default option

  9. I don’t get fast food too often, but I love me a “veggie” burger. I was so happy when BK made the impossible whopper. I hope this comes to the U.S!

  10. I’d like more vegan options when I’m in a rush, not sure if this is vegan/vegetarian. I’m in the US so I can’t try this anyways

I think I’d prefer something not deep fried as an option, but, I would at least be happy to still have something like this. When I’m in a rush going home from a long shift, I don’t always have the time to cook something healthy. I know this is deep fried, but, I supposed it’s alright to still eat once in a while

We can’t get anything good in the states. Canadian fast food > US fast food for as long as I can ever remember (even before I went veg years ago).

I’m sad they removed it in the Netherlands. It was good. Recently went to luxemburg and they had a great McPlant with a beyond burger. It was great.

  13. The McPlant in the UK is a grilled impossible meat burger and NGL it’s exactly like a quarter pounder. I don’t know why they don’t roll it out everywhere

I just don’t think McDonalds is worth going to even if they do have a veggie option lll

I’ve been stalking this rollout ever since I tried it in Italy. Love the A&W one for fast food!

  16. I liked it, and while I think an Impossible Big Mac would slap….I’d rather do a decent veggie patty than a bad fake meat with an aftertaste (anyone remember Wendy’s short-lived veggie burger?).

Mine was fresh from the fryer, nice and crispy on the outside, like a panko breading. The inside was soft but not mushy, pretty neutral tasting.

The McSpicy sauce was McMeh. The patty doesn’t pack a flavour punch on its own, so lettuce and mayo as toppings were incredibly uninspired.

I’d skip the mayo sauces completely and try the standard cheeseburger toppings (ketchup, mustard, pickles, onion). Or a side of BBQ sauce sold as a Nugget dipper.

  17. We also have sonething similar in Netherlands (McPlant) it’s pretty good but I really prefer our veggie McChicken, that one is genuinely so good. We usually have another veggie option in rotation like nuggets, McKroket or cheese bites.

  18. I know I’m going to sound like a Karen.
While this is nice, you’re still supporting a meat based company. But to be fair, while I never just go to Mac Donalds like that. If I go it’s because friends wanna go and I’m not one for ruining their fun.
