    *📝 Ingredients*

    *For the sponge (génoise):*

    * 4 eggs
    * 120g sugar (about 1/2 cup)
    * 120g flour (about 1 cup)
    * 30g cocoa powder (about 3 tbsp)
    * 1 tsp vanilla

    *For the cream filling:*

    * 200ml cold whipping cream
    * 2 tbsp powdered sugar
    * 1 tsp vanilla

    *For the chocolate ganache:*

    * 200g dark chocolate
    * 100ml heavy cream

    *For decoration (optional):*

    * Wafer rolls
    * Chocolate bars
    * Cookies or biscuits
    * Golden dust or sprinkles

    👩‍🍳 Instructions

    1. *Make the sponge (génoise):*

    – Preheat the oven to 180°C .
    – Beat the eggs and sugar with vanilla until light and fluffy (about 8–10 minutes).
    – Sift in the flour and cocoa powder gently, folding with a spatula until combined.
    – Pour into a greased heart-shaped pan and bake for 25–30 minutes. Let cool completely.

    2. *Prepare the cream filling:*

    – Whip the cold cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.

    3. *Assemble the cake:*

    – Slice the sponge in half horizontally.
    – Spread the whipped cream evenly in the middle, then place the top layer back.

    4. *Make the chocolate ganache:*

    – Heat the cream until warm (not boiling), then pour over chopped chocolate.
    – Stir until smooth and glossy.
    – Pour over the cake and spread evenly.

    5. *Decorate:*

    Add wafers, chocolate bars, biscuits, or sprinkles on top for a nice finish.
