  1. Spam and egg banh mi: Fried Tocino Spam, homemade shredded carrot and radish quick pickle, fried eggs, Maggi mayonnaise, cucumber, cilantro. I put a little squiggles of Sriracha on mine. We cut the three big sandwiches in half…my kids ended up eating the remaining 2 pieces out of 6! The sandwiches were bigger than they look; that’s a half sheet pan they’re sitting on.

Chicken shawarma and charred broccoli with chickpeas: The shawarma was precooked and frozen from Sam’s, but not bad, on garlic flatbread with hummus and this delicious soft goat/sheep feta. Veggies were seasoned with cumin, lemon, zaatar and a sort of homemade tzatziki.

NY strip, roasties made with ghee and garlic powder, and tabbouleh based on parsley and quinoa; the store didn’t have mint, but it was delicious! The steaks were supposedly Prime from Sam’s Club, not worth the price at all. I dry brined them overnight with coarse salt, sous vide to 134, and my husband attempted to sear them, but they kept leaking juices like they were injected, so no good sear. Pretty flavorless too. Oh well. The mini roast potatoes were so crispy. I put a little sour cream on mine. 😋
